How Metallic Epoxy Floors Work
Metallic floors start with a 100% solids clear epoxy loaded with mica-based pearlescent pigments. As the epoxy self-levels and cures, the pigments move, settle, and swirl, creating three-dimensional depth and movement. Our installers manipulate the flow with rollers, brushes, air, and solvent accents to create the pattern you choose: marbled, veined, lava, ocean, or a single flowing color. A clear polyaspartic or urethane topcoat locks it in and adds scratch and UV resistance.
