A shop floor that sees equipment, point loads, and chemicals needs 30 to 60+ mils of build, a harder topcoat, and joints filled with semi-rigid polyurea so wheel loads don't chip the edges. Dust control matters too: a bare pole-barn slab sheds concrete dust onto everything in the building. A coated floor is dust-free, wipeable, and bright.
